Road Trip

We took a trip back to Matt's home recently. Matt's twin brother's girlfriend had his first baby shortly after Maren turned 4. We hadn't seen her yet so I took a weekend off of work ( :o I know) and we drove up for a long weekend (we had Monday off too).

Here's a pic of Lilly helping gamma and gampa in the kitchen:

They're making a rub for ribs. Atta girl, lil.

Then out to the farm to stay with Uncle and to meet baby Peyton.
She's such a good baby!

Maren loves to be "mommy"

Lillian has no idea what that thing is that I'm holding but when it cries she "shooshes" it the way we do.

Spring photos

A new floor drawing tablet.
I love to see my girls sprawled out on the floor working on drawings.

Some outside time as the weather got warm then cold then warm again. Here the girls are making chalk drawings on our bumpy driveway.

Apparently stickers now belong on your face. This is a progression from your shirt.

I won a mom award this day:
Maren had an appointment in Minneapolis which I knew would bring us close to lunch time. Instead of lunch I fed them ice cream sundaes from McDonalds. It was nice, so we ate them outside.

One of the highlights of our spring? Children's Museum night for St Paul ECFE. Free entry and closed to the public. Grossology was the exhibit. My girls= all over that. It was great.

Life size Operation, super fun!

I'm not even sure I want to know what she's climbing on here, pores?

Lillian, no, she's not having fun. She's having a BLAST!

on to the ant hill...

As you all know I have two girls who love to perform. Maren is in here element here.

Lilly likes hats and helmets. check.

Finished up with DQ! What could be better?!

Easter

It's hard to believe that I am so far behind. Not as far behind as I am on my scrapbooking but behind.

I haven't even posted Easter pictures?! So sorry.

It was bring something to Great Grandma and papa's house for Easter so Maren and I made red velvet cupcakes with her new Babycakes Cupcake maker.

Lillian was sleeping and when she woke up we got ready to go.

So cute!

Maren had fun playing with the baby doll at Great Grandma's

and they both enjoyed eating cupcakes!

It was nice out so there was some running around.

Recognize the dress?
Below is Maren at Easter when she was just over 1:

Maren played her heart out.

And crashed hard on the way home.
